Located
in central part of Adriatic in Sibenik archipelago. Name Prvic comes
according to some source from Prvin-Croatian god of Spring. It seams
that in old times hermits reside on Prvic. For its peace and silence,
sweet smalls and colors that somehow grown together with the island
in this crazy world there is still a place that is not wasted by the
time.
Although not big by the surface (2,37 km2) you will be attracted by
island diversity. Vegetation on the island i aromatic Mediterranean
herbs and pines while the local population grows figs, olives and vine.
Coastline is mild and suitable for swimming in whole its length. There
are no cars on the island and although it is only 1000 metes away from
the mainland it is a real oasis of peace. There are two villages on
the island- Prvic Luka and Sepurine.
Sepurine is located on the west part of the island opposite to Vodica.
Prvic Luka is biggest bay on the south-east side and it is well protected
from northern and western winds.
Because of its nice beaches and crystal clear sea island is visited
daily by numerous guests from nearby costal towns and marinas. Sailing
experts say that for pleasant sailing this is a most beautiful part
of the Adriatic .
You can reach island by regular boat line that runs few times a day
from Sibenik and Vodice. You can download boat schedule for off
season and main season. For a modest
fee a taxi boat can take you to and from the island anytime.
